I believe an apology is in order, both for my rudimentary spelling capabilities and the unprovoked attack. Your river question made me feel things I haven't felt since the wee days... thank you and my absolute apologies.
As a peace offering, consider this question: what is always coming, but never arrives?
Good day.

Good bloke! Just drove back to San Francisco from the mountains -- probably not to return until April 10 or so. If you find yourself coastside let me know!

Ahh yes a classic scenario. He must transport the goat first as the wolf will not eat the cabbage. Then he may return to bring the wolf over. But when he drops the wolf off on the other side, he will once again grab the goat, taking back to the original side, dropping it off and picking up the cabbage. He will transport the cabbage across, leaving it on the other side safely with the wolf. Lastly, he will return to get his goat, bringing it across the river one last time, to join the wolf and cabbage on the other side of the river.
Jolly good riddle sir/madam. Thank you for your gift.
also to "Henry", I believe you are commit a classic blunder. I do not believe our pondering friend is "sewing" anything. Rather he may or may not be "sowing" things that he may be able to reap. I imagine you would want to be made aware of such issues - my apologies if not.
Ponder this

it's quite unfortunate that your intellectual insecurity pushes you to threats and coercion :/ I know what you mean but cannot relate and am not intimidated
To that end:
A farmer needs to transport a wolf, a goat, and a cabbage across a river. His boat can only carry him and one other item. If left alone, the wolf will eat the goat, and the goat will eat the cabbage. How can he safely transport all three?
